RE: kde crashing



While logged in as a regular user, type 'su -' to become root.  You don't
need to logout/login.  When it fscked, you probably lost nothing.  You
should be able to check in the lost+found directories.
The screen going black could have several possibilities.  It may have been
hardware shorting out, memory, or just KDE.  You might want to try to
replicate the problem, and then report it to bugzilla, but I would just let
it go unless it happens again.
