If this is the free disk space that is available for /tmp,
then, yes, you should be OK... I was merely pointing at a
possible explanation that did not involve a bad package.
Might still be a good idea to just use "md5sum" and compare
with the value in the errata:
047d31db622884f59036b2de6c02f72a 7.1/en/os/i386/kernel-source-2.4.3-12.i386.rpm
The only other causes for a md5sum problem that I ever encountered
was a bad RAM module or low-quality motherboard. But I'm sure you'll
tell me that your hardware is perfect... ;-)
Then it's probably just a bad package. Did your two downloads
produce identical files ?
