Could someone tell me why people are still using redhat-config-printer to
configure CUPS pronters instead of the web interface described in the
documentation?
1) redhat-config-printers or printconf has a text interface available.
2) it's the defaut config program for printers on Red Hat Linux machine.
3) the Red Hat initscripts can overwrite several files in /etc/cups/
when cups is started. Not sure what causes printconf-backend to rewrite
the files (other than --force-rebuild) but it can happen.
4) printconf looks prettier.
