Zeroconf?

Judging by this exchange on the list:

It's a route for zeroconf networks.
can I assume that shrike is Zeroconf 'enabled' out of the box?
If so, how can I use it. I have not been able to find any documentation
in Shrike.
Do you have to install additional software?
