This may have been discussed before, if so sorry. I have two nearly identical machines. Each have 512MB of ram. During the install I let the installer do an automatic partition each time and then checked the customize box and adjusted the layout to my liking. The installer automatically chose to give me a 1GB swap file (double my ram) which is what I would expect and wanted. Here is the problem: After the install I go back and look and suddenly I only have a 256MB swap file. This happened on both boxes. The first time I thought I just goofed it but this one confirmed that it was not my mistake. Here is a quick look at my layout, see for yourself. Has anyone seen this before? Now that my system is built does anyone know of a cheap trick to fix it?
