You need to goto this site below and obtain the new camera database
(libraries) and assosiated files. The ones with RH9 are out of date. I'm not
sure how new your camera is, but these libraries may not support it yet
either, but it's worth checking out.

Hi, all!

I've just changed cameras to a Canon PowerShot S230 "Digital Elph". 
However, RH9 (with all updates) and gtkam do not seem to recognize it. 
Clicking on the "add camera" function in gtkam then clicking on "detect" 
get me "no camera detected".

Does anyone know what I might need to do/get/download in order to make it 
work? I've spent some time Googling for this, but I come up with a lot of 
"buy" information only. One page said something about the camera working 
beautifully with gentoo, but fat lot of good that does me.

Any ideas or pointers welcome!
