I'd be interested in trying out some rpm packaged versions. I tried to 
build a 2.5 kernel version, for my 490CDT Toshiba laptop. It panicked at 
opening a display. It was version 2.5.70. The panic was related to init.

Having more people testing the new developmental kernel, might get it 
out of developmental stages, faster.

Will all the backporting of the worthy features to 2.4 kernel, change it 
to 2.6, eventually?
