acrobat reader and RH 9.

I haven't seen any comment about this on the list but when I install
acroread for Acrobat Reader 5.6 and try to apply it to a pdf file I
get this error:
Warning: charset "UTF-8" not supported, using "ISO8859-1".
Aborted

Can someone explain this and give me a hit of how to fix it?
