I was going to write that you would have to go to
Main menu -> preferences -> filemanager -> preview
and set to play a fragment of soundfiles to 'always' or 'local only',
but indeed, setting this, makes no difference.
So it doesn't work for me either.
I'm puzzled.
Bug?
