I'm having trouble recording an internet broadcast to an ogg stream.
I'm using mplayer to decode the stream because it is an asf stream and
I'm trying to pipe the output to oggencode. The best results that I
have so far are with
mplayer -vc null -vo null -ao pcm -aofile /dev/stdout <stream> |oggenc
/dev/stdin -r -R 22050 -o audiodump.ogg
I get lots of segments with static in them. I've tried playing with the
cache for mplayer and I've tried other encoding programs (transcode and
mencoder).
Can anyone help?
Tony
