I felt like I buyed a faster computer!

The only thing I still saw as a problem is my HD led blinking every 5
seconds even when I do nothing. This is really a BAD thing for portatil
comps. The HD can't go sleep and this consumes energy. :(

I am using KDE. But opening a terminal and using Using top I saw that this
applications are doing something:

4142 root    15   0 39740  15M  4580 S     0.7  6.7  23:37   0 X
4330 myuser  15   0   336  296   216 S     0.7  0.1   0:37   0 autorun

What autorun does? I think this is checking for a insertion in the CD
drive, is in it? Can be autorun the source of the blinking?
