graphical boot rhgb incorporate in RH9

Has anybody managed to incorporate the graphical boot feature rhgb from the severn release into RH9. I tried and it and comes up with the re-configure the XServer dialog. One of the error messages is that the XServer seems to be already running when it wants to start the graphical log in screen.
