Hi all
I am a quite new Linux User.
I am going to disable shutdown/reboot from the Console using
Ctrl-Alt-Del.
I have found that is is jdone by editing "/etc/inittab" and commenting
out the following line:
ca::ctrlaltdel:/sbin/shutdown -t3 -r now
like this:
#ca::ctrlaltdel:/sbin/shutdown -t3 -r now
But how do I activate the change?
Please forgive me for asking this stupid questing (I suppose it is
stupid)
I tried to run the command /etc/inittab logged in as root from a SSH
promt but I just got the message: permission denied.
Is this automatically applied after saving my changes to the
/etc/inittab file?
Øyvind
