burning ISOs with gnometoaster

I seem to be having difficulty making CDs from the K12ltsp ISOs I downloaded.
I tried with Gnometoaster, but it only copied the ISO to the disc, so that what was on the disc was an ISO image, not a bootable OS cdrom.
I have not found suitable instructions for using cdrecord, but if someone could just send along the proper command, I think I could do it that way.
Any other advice? I am using a Phillips PCRW 804 drive, gnometoaster 1.0Beta6.
I could probably load up XCDRoast if anyone thinks that's a good idea.
I am doing this on a shrike box.
Sorry about the crosspost.
