RE: XFree86 problems

I don't see manual/doc/info on redhat-config-xfree86.

running this command causes colored garbage on my screen 
(line length looks to be about 6% too long).  No easy way out.
<alt>F1 et amici do not give me a new login prompt, reboot is
the only thing that works that I have found.

What command options exist for redhat-config-xfree86?

Specifically I'd like to find out what it tried (that left my system so
hung that ctrl+alt+del was needed) and have it not try that again.

Make a copy of your /etc/X11/XF86Config file and run
`redhat-config-xfree86 --reconfig`
