File named "endoftheworld"...

Hi:

I recently got the package snd-data-0.1.tar.Z containing sound
samples from the following site:
 ftp://tsx-11.mit.edu/pub/linux/packages/sound

When I untarred the file, I noticed in one of the directories
a file named "endoftheworld".  That got me nervous and I immediately
deleted the downloaded package.

Can somebody tell us if this file is allright in this package or whether
this indicates foul play from someone?

P.S. I thing I got the reference to this site from one of the
HOWTOs dealing with sound, but am not 100 percent sure...
