OPTi Auddio-16 Causing sndConfig to hang

While attempting to install and OPTi Audio-16 card (ISA PNP...bare bones),
sndconfig recognizes the card (at least the PNP part). But, when it attempts
to configure the card, sndconfig freezes.

What am I doing wrong?

I am running RH 6.1 on a PII/400.  I have two PNP NICs in the machine.

This is the the third sound card I've tried to use...but to no avail.
