VIA Apollo MVP4 sound

Hi there,

    I'd like to know if someone has successfully made the VIA82c686
sound work under Linux... I've got a PC Partner motherboard based on the

VIA Apollo MVP4 chipset and up to now I could only make it work as a
SoundBlaster Pro, i.e, REALLY poorly! I've tried to build the VIA82c686
module that comes with kernel v. 2.2.13 and use it, but still to no
good...

    Any tips would be appreciated!
