The turning on blocks thing is about programming to the chip directly
in the device driver.  You cant directly use a YMF724 chip with
linux right now.  Someone needs to write a device driver for it.
I dont know about YMF740, but I dont know if such a thing exists,
your vendor might have made a mistake?  I dunno.
