I got this from opensource.com..trying to get my YMF-740 (DX-SG onboard
chip) to work with linux..i'm having trouble with their ./oss-install
util and this is their response..before i proceded i wanted to
makesure...i've NEVER seen any reference in any readmes about this
removing of modversions stuff? ..or i've missed the boat somewhere
:)entirely poss..:)
