[Sound] trouble with sound / IBM aptiva

Hello all,

I have an IBM aptiva that has the Crystal soundcard chipset (4237B)
integrated into the motherboard.  when i run:

  sndcofig --noprobe

this is what happens:

  SELECT Crystal CS432x sound chip
  USE   I/O Port == 0x534
            Irq          == 5
            DMA 1   == 1
            DMA 2   == 0
            MPU I/O == 0x330
           MPU IRQ == 9

sndconfig now tries to play a test sample.  this is what I get:

  The following error occurred running the modprobe program:

   /lib/modules/2.2.12-20/misc/cs4232.o:  init_module: Device or
resource busy
   /lib/modules/2.2.12-20/misc/cs4232.o:  insmod
   /lib/modules/2.2.12-20/misc/cs4232.o  failed
   /lib/modules/2.2.12-20/misc/cs4232.o:  insmod sound failed

any help would be appreciated
