Hello,
I ran sndconfig (v.38 RH 6.1 Kernel 2.2.12-20), and the probe detects my soundchip fine (crystal cs4237B), but, when it goes to
play a soundfile, I get:
/etc/isapnp.conf:310 -- Fatal - IO Range Check attempted while device activated.
/etc/isapnp.conf:310 -- Fatal - Error occurred executing request '<IORESCHECK>' --- further action aborted.
Since this is a chip integrated into the motherboard (IBM Aptiva), there are no jumpers, etc., to configure. Although this leads me
to think that I have some sort of IRQ/DMA conflict with another device, I am at a bit of a loss. Could you give me some suggestions?
Thanks,
Chris Deckard
