It *should* work, AFAIK. Haven't tried with it compiled statically.

It's probably not significantly different from 2.2.18.
There is also the ALSA project at:
http://www.alsa-project.org/
Note that these drivers can *not* be compiled statically into the kernel.

The emu10k1 module does not have any, AFAIK.

You shouldn't need any; it's PCI.

It has an onboard wavetable synthesizer; I believe that only ALSA supports
it currently, but I could be wrong.
