That's pretty much correct. I believe the nm256 will ignore
the control port.

What functionality are you missing that would make you want to change
the settings?

There is no *specific* command to do; kudzu is run in the post-install
config section. You can always sed/grep/awk the modules.conf file to
put whatever settings you want in it.
