[Sound] Sound under more than one GUI console?

Gentle folks,

I use RH 6.2 and have sound working under Gnome GUI. Actually, it works
ok as long as it is the only one GUI console. Well, after I start
another console with GUI, there I only have sound within the first
console, but from other console(s) there is no sound at all. I wonder if
it is a bug or it is normal in Linux?
