Why ???
my sound card run correct under Windows 95, but not under Linux 7 ???
I have 'Creative Sound blaster 16' on Pentium II
350 MHz 64 Mb RAM with Windows95/Linux 7 installed.
Under W95
- restart PC in DOS mode
- start automat. CTCM (a sw'Creative check)
- this is output message:

Configurazione di 2 su 2 dispositivi Plug and Play Creative
riuscita.
Ambiente BLASTER impostato su: A240 I9 D3 H0 P300 T6
(ndr.the parameters is the same of win95.)
Under Linux 7
- start in command line 'sndconf' tool
- it say me that I have a ViBRA16X PnP cardsound (OK)
- the test fail with this messagge:
/etc/isapnp.conf:44 -- Fatal - IO range check attempted while device
activated
/etc/isapnp.conf:44 -- Fatal - Error occurred executing request
'<IORESCHECK> ' --- further action aborted
- then I config manualy it, I insert this parameters:
I/O 240
IRQ 9
DMA 3
DMA 0
I/O 300
- exec the test:
I see message error
/etc/isapnp.conf:44 -- Fatal - IO range check attempted while device
activated
/etc/isapnp.conf:44 -- Fatal - Error occurred executing request
'<IORESCHECK> ' --- further action aborted
ndr. do not work my ethernet card under Linux (eth0 IRQ 05 I/O 0x220)
- when boot linux system, I see this error message:
