I noticed several "unaligned access" in dmesg on ia64, as
shown below:
partx(209): unaligned access to 0x6000000000009a76, ip=0x4000000000002cb1
partx(209): unaligned access to 0x6000000000009a86, ip=0x4000000000002cb1
partx(209): unaligned access to 0x6000000000009a96, ip=0x4000000000002cb1
partx(209): unaligned access to 0x6000000000009aa6, ip=0x4000000000002cb1
arping(3077): unaligned access to 0x60000fffffffbe8d, ip=0xe0000000046f2cf0
arping(3125): unaligned access to 0x60000fffffffbe8d, ip=0xe0000000046f2cf0
arping(3148): unaligned access to 0x60000fffffffbe8e, ip=0xe0000000046f2cf0
arping(3273): unaligned access to 0x60000fffffffbe8e, ip=0xe0000000046f2cf0
Does it mean these applications don't have correct alignment when
dereferencing pointers to some data types?
Thanks.
