Setting the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL environment variable to 2.4.19 certainly got
me past the initial phase when I was trying it at the end of last week,
those this was on the RHL beta, and probably with a later version of OUI
(2.3.something which comes with OCSv2). I was trying to install the
midtier of OCSv2, but the problem I was investigating (with the solaris
version) was solved before I completed my linux investigations.
Incidentally, I think you can avoid recompiling glibc. Someone posted a
workaround to the same basic problem, but in a completely different case.
I think if you download the ctype.c file from here
http://intel.forums.liveworld.com/servlet/JiveServlet/download/121-5821-19468-493/ctype.c
compile it (either a .o file or maybe a library), and add it to
appropriate scripts I think you should be able to solve the __ctype_b
symbol problems.
