Oops... and some notes

I am having lots of problems with booting taroon on an AMD64, dual
processor, Tyan Thunder Mobo w/6GB RAM.

Install still requires appending "mem=3G", just like gingin64. (RH ought
to make mention of that somewhere, at least the README if not in the
installer itself).

After what appearsto be a smooth install of WS, I run into lots of
kernel problems.

with default BIOS settings the kernel hangs with:

Linux NET4.0 for Linux 2.4
Based upon Swansea University Computer Society NET3.039
Initializing RT netlink socket
schedule_task(): keventd has not started

(attachmnet rhel-beta-AMD64.boot1 has full kernel output)

After turning off 'ACPI enabled OS' in the BIOS, I then get an oops.
(attachment rhel-beta-AMD64.boot3)

With both ACPI shut off and passing 'mem=3G' to the kernel I can boot
successfully. But the whole point of AMD64 (for me) is getting past the
32 bit memory limitations.

Other notes, the kernel requests enabling IOMMU in BIOS, but changing
IOMMU in the BIOS does not change this. (BIOS bug?)

Am I doing something wrong?
