amanada and filesystem acls

Hello,

i'm very happy about the inclusion of filesystem acls in
AS 3. However, there should be a backup solution for such
filesystems - it doesn't seem that amanda contains support
for star which would be able to backup acl's as well.

So far i understand, the only possible solution would be
using the dump archiving mode of amanda to backup acl's - but
that doesn't make an directory based backup approach possible,
which I need (and probably many others out there, too).

Are there any plans to make amanda star-capable for the release
of AS 3? Another possible approach would be to make gtar capable
of archiving acl's but i think that should be much more complicated
than including star support in amanda.
