Check all the good things there are in the box : - development tools - desktop (mail, browser, office suite, ...) - source - server service (bind, mail, web, database, ...) - support If the server solution of RedHat is too expensive to you, don't use it. Check competitors of RedHat to find something that fit your needs. Also pay attention that RHEL "finance" RHLP. I thank RedHat for providing RHL for free. Each case is a particular case. you always find guys to say : "too expensive".
