Commercial Application Testing

Since this is for the enterprise, I was wondering when testing of 
various commercial applications should be tested and how to best test 
them. Currently I have had problems with Taroon and

Real realone (segfault)
Citrix wfica (segfault)

I have not done much testing beyond that as I wanted to get the correct 
methods of what should work/ what shouldnt/ how to tell Red Hat/ etc. It 
could also be because i am missing something obvious doing an ldd of
wfica gave me the weird entries of:
