Have tried both LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19 and LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5

In both cases it still segfaults during an open of a configuration file.
The file is NFS mounted in my home directory. Looking at an strace..
there is a lot of opening of BlueCurve stuff and then it segfaults.
Doing it on a RHL 9 box it runs fine. Will try to bugzilla in a bit
