Crazy processes

Hello all,

I'm running an IBM BladeCenter which basically has two USB switches
built-in with one switch controlling which blade the Keyboard & Mouse
are assigned to and the other switch controlling which blade the Floppy
& CD-ROM drive are assigned to. Essentially this equates to the
Keyboard, Mouse, and drives being unplugged and re-plugged a lot. Every
once in a while I'll end up with something going crazy and launching
dozens of the following processes:

17308 ? S 0:00 /bin/bash /etc/hotplug/usb.agent
17738 ? S 0:00 /bin/bash /sbin/devlabel restart
18667 ? D 0:00 /usr/bin/scsi_unique_id /dev/sdb
18706 ? S 0:00 /bin/bash /sbin/devlabel status

I currently have about ten of each of these running. /dev/sdb is my
floppy drive, and I'm assuming that devlabel is somehow not liking what
it sees. I've not set devlabel up in any particular fashion yet (I
tried on another blade, but it didn't seem to like adding the empty
floppy drive). Anyone seen anything like this before or have any ideas?

Thanks

DC
