Does anyone know how to change the behaviour of the desktop such that :
1) If you have focus following mouse you need to click on the title
bar to bring it the front rather than allowing a click anywhere in
the window.
2) When you click the title bar to do this it doesn't start thinking
you want to move the window.
I'm not sure if this is more helpful or not, but KDE allows much more
control and I think it includes what you're asking. I gave gnome a
whirl early on on Taroon and gave up on it because I couldn't get on
with the default settings. Going (back) to KDE was wonderful -- I no
longer felt I was struggling against the desktop.
Thanks. I may do this if no-one else is able to help me out. I suspect I
can fiddle around with something in the gconf editor but it's not at all
clear to me!
