Hello
Samba ver. = 3.0.9-1.fc2
Mayby this could solve your problem use cifs instead of smbmount.
mount -t cifs //<windows share> <local mountpoint> -o
username=<user>,password=<pw>,uid=<uid>,gid=<gid>,file_mod=0750,dir_mod=
0755
Cheers
Cyrill

3.0.2
I am unable to access windows shares mounted from Win2003 with smbmount
since I updated samba on RHEL to the current version 3.0.7. the last
samba version which works is 3.0.2
the mount works, but all access file with 'permissioon denied'
reverting to samba 3.0.2 immediately solved the problem.
Has anyone successfully accessed windows shares with samba 3.0.7 ?
