Hello all,
We are currently upgrading our cluster from AS 2.1 to AS 3.0. The server I am working on the port on has a dual Xeon config with HT enabled. When I run our system in an idle state, the CPU spikes every couple of minutes, but at no defined interval. This does not happen on 2.1. I've been observing the system using sar and top. So far as I've read, I believe the threading model was completely rewritten for 3.0, so I'm not sure if that is playing a role...
Our system gets into just about everything (multi-threaded, shared memory, mutexes, etc.) I realize that this is a very vague description and not much to go on, but I was just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.
Regards,
Sean Kirkpatrick
