That's not a reason as to why they were reactivated, just why they were updated.


I think the OP's point was that if I chkconfig off (as opposed to chkconfig delete) a given daemon, the %post process of an RPM should honour that status, rather than simply resetting it to a default state.

It's the equivalent of all RPM's overwriting your config files with abandon. :)
