My named didn't start. I manually started it and it was fine. I had to
make no other changes.
Judging from output of "rpm -q bind --scripts" it looks like named was
uninstalled and stopped. The postinstall scriptlet was never run on my system (
and it doesn't start named if it's not running.
I also had to run "/sbin/chkconfig --add named" to remake the symlinks in
/etc/rc.d/rc.3/. You might want to check your system.
