I can't blame the sales folks for telling people to use a
method that's not as easy to mess up as manually installing
some different RPMs and potentially ending up with a system
that's in RHN-limbo - with no working entitlement, making
support harder...
Then again, if you're not afraid of getting your hands dirty,
reinstalling a few RPMs is probably the easiest way to move
between subscriptions. Experts only, of course ;)
