I'm surprised at your report that you can share configuration files
between FC2 and RHEL3. FC2 is running Gnome 2.6, so your report implies
that the Gnome 2.2 and 2.6 configurations are compatible but 2.2 and 2.4
(the version FC1 runs) are not. If you create a new account and log into
it from RHEL3, then from FC2, do you get conversions of the
configuration files? And are they still usable if you drop back to
RHEL3?  What I saw was that my FC1 configuration was unusable by RHEL3;
in particular, all of my toolbar icons disappeared.

Thanks in advance if you get a chance to run this test and report back.
