Swap - suggestions needed

Which of the below swap configuration is better in
forming a 20 GB swap space

   - Small swapchunks of size 2 GB each 
   - One huge swap partition of size 20 GB.

Which one is better for RHEL3 

( I am facing issues in having 1 huge 20 GB swap -
getting 'kjournal' errors in the machine )
