latest glibc required.

Hi
I got the problem while running the linux7.2 objects on the rhel platform.
The problem is, execution hang with following message
 "#0 0xbaf7bf39 in free () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6"

Refering to link "http://bugs.freehep.org/browse/AIDAJNI-5?page=history";
I found that the problem is due to the "libc" is having bug, which will be
fixed in the next release of the "glibc". The workaround for the above problem
is "setenv LD_ASSUME_KERNEL 2.4.1 which disable NPTL in glibc.
NPTL = Native Posix Threads for Linux. ".
I tried the workaround and it worked fine.

I have query where the fixed "glibc" is released ?
Refering to link "http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/glibc/";, I found that the latest version
of the "glibc" available is released on 01-Mar-2003.
Following is the extract from the abobe mentioned web page
   "glibc-2.3.2.tar.gz 01-Mar-2003 16:57 17.3M "

On follwing link about the same bug it is mentioned that the bug is closed.
http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=90301
Extract of the above link is
Additional Comment #1 From Ulrich Drepper on 2003-05-06 19:50
This is fixed in the upstream glibc archive and will be in the next release. If
there is a bug fix or security update for glibc it'll be included, too.

This date of closing the bug is "2003-05-06". As the latest version of the glibc for
downloading is showing the date "01-Mar-2003" which is prior to bug fixation date,
I am not sure whether the fixed "glibc" is available for use or not.

Please let me know what is the latest version of the glibc ?
The latest available "glibc" is fixed or not ?

Thanks
