stock rpms from mysql.com on rhel 3 with no problems.
Yep, I know, but it turns out that it's pretty handy to have a couple of
different versions installed so I can try to track down issues between
different versions.
So I've been untarring the stock binary distributions into
/usr/local/mysql-VERSION and then symlinking whichever version I'm using
to /usr/local/mysql.
Works well so far. :)
