Well, we are using Apache + mod_perl + postgresql. We use RHEL-RPMS, and
we get the "extra" packages using CPAN. We use Perl because you can use
the same language for admin (scripts), quick CGI (CGI.pm), advanced CGI
(mod_perl/Registry) and "master applications" with mod_perl/ApacheAPI.
Even we are using perl for CitationMining. So, you only need to learn
THE ONE language, and use it for all you needs. We started to use
postgresql because mysql wasn't free. Now it is. Is there need to
explain why to use apache?
