I suggest you take a look at the 2.6 tree. Making a vanilla 2.4 work with
RHEL3 would probably lead up to unreasonable amount of work. I've put a
few boxes up with 2.6 due to operational requirements of the box while the
majority runs with rhel-kernel. You need to update a few packages in rhel3
in order to get 2.6 working properly.
