Hi All,
I'm configuring a new intel server with RAID-5 disk subsystem. Will run RHELAS3U2.
I'll use three 146GB SCSI HDDs for configuring a single array in total approx. 300GB size.
Then should I separate this array in two, three or more logical drives from hardware RAID configuration?
Can LVM handle a single 300GB PV without compromise?
Or should I create four 73GB PVs for LVM? Which is better? Cons and Pros?
PS : My /boot partition resides on different physical drive. I don't have booting constraints on RAID-5 array.
Thanx in advance.
