That's why RHEL has the price it has.  Anyway, they don't do much
backport of features (especially not once the release is out the door),
just necessary fixes.

The next stable kernel won't be current in five years either.  By then
there'll be a 2.8, 3.0 or something (or we'll all be running SCO :-) ).
