RE: Slow connection with Exceed

I have noticed the same, but also with normal SSH shell. 

On RH7 and 8 connecting to a box would return the password field
immediately, in RH9 and up, and RHEL, it takes about 2-3 seconds for the
password to come up. This might be the same problem (I haven't found the
cause of this yet though.

This might be a bit off-topic and if so, I'm sorry.  I updated from
RH7.3 to RHEL3 ES recently.  Using Exceed, I am able to connect via ssh,
but the graphic page builds very slowly.  This was not the case with
7.3.  Is there a setting I haven't made which is limiting the connection
