Noticed that too. From what I've been able to debug, it seems to me that 
something *might* be wrong with post-U2 kernels regarding flock over nfs.
I dont have any evicende of this unfortunately, atleast not yet. AFAIK 
fnctl is preferred with nfs anyways but flock worked fine until -15 kernel.
